If today’s Christian church is so comfortably fat and happy that it doesn’t think the Adversary has been cooking up a specific plan for how to take us down… then we really don’t know our Bible.
Scripture warns that we are up against a roaring lion seeking who he *may* devour. As in: looking for stray sheep he can catch napping.
The lesson there is NOT ‘live in fear of some big bad devil’.
Because Jesus is far more badass than the devil could ever dream of being.
The real lesson is: ‘don’t get caught napping’.
Jesus picked his biggest fights not with the worldly apostates among the Sadducees, but with Pharisees — the leaders and examples within devout Judeaism.
The Apostles saved their harshest words for false teachers and apostles. The entire book of Jude is nothing but 25 verses of a theological MOAB dropped on the heads of false teachers.
What makes Christians think the Enemy wouldn’t still be hard at work, pulling out age-old divide and conquer tactics to destroy us from the inside?
One of the left’s most successful schemers wrote out a specific plan that the activists been very patiently, devoutly, (and successfully) working since 1935. And part of that plan includes putting their people on the inside of our Churches.
Have you looked around at the Church lately? Is there a sharp division between who we are and the God-hating culture around us?
If your answer is ‘no’, it’s time to shake off our sleep and get to work.
Let us consider with seriousness the words of Peter when he said:
“For it is time for judgment to begin at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?” — 1 Pet 4:17
